Things we can do:

• Help find USED basic items needed for the home, such as beds, kitchen items, and some additional furniture.
• Help register kids for school and connect to additional school resources. 
• Connect families with resources in the community – phone numbers for clinics, additional services in the area, food pantries, libraries.
• Provide some initial clothing and diapers 
• Upon initial arrival, help fill out paperwork for Medicaid, SNAP, and WIC. Mallory@dsmrefugeesupport.org  & Sedina@dsmrefugeesupport.org are the ones to contact for assistance with this.  
• Provide some initial food, and resources on how to get more.  
• Invite the children to activities that we sponsor
• Help sort through mail to determine what is important  
• If you are interested in family planning, we can help provide information about this.
